Scholarships
In order for a student to be eligible for consideration for a UPA scholarship, he or she must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Palestinian citizen.
- Be currently enrolled in and have completed at least one semester at a university that is (a) located in the West Bank or Gaza Strip and (b) participates in the UPA scholarship program (the full list of participating universities can be found on the application form).
- Have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 80%.
- Complete the online application in English.
- Write an essay (written in English or Arabic) that explains (a) why you chose your field of study and (b) how you plan to use your education to improve Palestinian society.
- Have a professor provide an academic and personal evaluation.
The deadline for submitting an application for the 2011-2012 season has passed. Students who are selected to receive a scholarship for the upcoming school year will be notified in late July or early August 2011. For more information on scholarships click here.
