Education
Investing in our greatest asset...
Palestinians face overwhelming challenges that impact their ability to obtain an education. These include closures, restrictions on movement, destruction of basic materials and facilities (especially in Gaza), and a number of seemingly tangential obstacles: the impact of a blockade on access to nutritious food and clean water, the impact of military attacks on mental health, and the impact of a devastated economy on livelihoods.
UPA works closely with local schools, orphanages, vocational training centers and universities to strengthen the Palestinian educational system. From rehabilitating kindergartens and training primary school teachers to providing scholarships for university and even post-graduate studies, UPA is there at every level to invest in Palestinians’ future.
UPA believes in building Palestinian independence from the ground up. Education is a vital tool in developing and fostering each individual’s future, as well as the future of Palestinian society. UPA supports programs administered at improving the educational condition of the youth. Programs are directed toward youth in a range of ages, and vary from providing children with challenging activities, workshops, and educational programs, preparing older youth with the specific skills needed in their respective fields, repairing educational facilities. These benefits are provided through the various programs UPA has funded in the past and continues to fund.
